  1. My Favorite Tool! Review by Love4Rustic

I have to honestly say, I had never used a battery powered impact, worried about power and battery length. A friend let me borrow his to put lag screws into cedar logs that i use to make my cedar furniture. As soon as I finished my first bed, I was sold completely! His was an older versioin, ps40-2 10.8 volt, but none the less, extreme power and lastability. I will never use anything else! So as I expected, the newer, ps41-2a, 12v..... well, need I say more??? Trust me... BUY IT! (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  2. Compact enough to carry in a tool belt Review by rpurdum

This powerful impact is compact enough to fit in a pouch in a tool belt. Light enough to carry all day. LED lights are a blessing inside of cabinets, closets, etc. (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  3. Excellent power to size ratio, great for home owner, do-it-yourself-ers Review by jonhaggis

This is a fab tool for the size. Long battery life, nice array of uses of this battery with other tools. I use it for all my home projects, small construction jobs. It won't tackle 4" deck screws. But it is very, very, versitile. Durable. Use it all the time. One of those go-to-tools. (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  4. Excellent tools and small size and light weight. Review by Ungust

I am an aircraft mechanic and I regularly use my Bosch Impactor and Drill D/Driver on my job. I have found no other tools that allow me to easily remove stuck and stripped screws and fasteners with as much ease as these tools. And because they are light weight and powerful, they are very easy to get to the areas that I need to get to. Such as , the top of the fuselage or removing access panel on the top of the rudder and tail section of the aircraft. (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  5. Such a fit! Review by Vialux

The entire kit of 2 batteries, the driver and charger weighs in at about what a single battery for my 18v Ni-cad set tipped the scales at. Plus, it's so small it drops right into my nail bags without having to fiddle with a drill holster. Sweet! (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  6. Great light weight impact for those small or household projects Review by Mintle79

I really enjoy using this tool. It zips screws into the wood with ease. I have also used this for lags scres and removing nuts/bolts off engines. It great because it has the power and doesn't kill your arm with it's weight like my 18V drill. (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  7. Another winner from Bosch! Review by jvbouch

This is just another top notch tool from Bosch. I have the 12v Max drill/driver also and I can do anything with just these 2 tools. I have used every tools out there from Dewalt, Milwalkee, and Rigid over the years and I have found that Bosch is my top choice. Oh and what sets this tool apart from the others, beside its quality manufacturing and warranty, is this one has 3 LED lights!! I dont know about you but just one light under the tool doesnt do the job when light is an issue. Keep up the good work guys! (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  8. This product is light as a feather Review by PedersenTrim

I bought this for my husband for fathers day. I love it, he loves it...the best impact driver I can't wait to try it myself. If I can get him to put it down long enough. Bosch tools are excellent. Great warranty package is a big plus. (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  9. this impact driver is very durable Review by ironman

love the lithium battery life and the compact size and weight of this product. (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  10. Gets The Job Done Right! Review by Eclectic

I love this impact driver. It does everything you need it to do the job right. I highly recommend it to anyone thinking of purchasing one for residential or commercial use. It's great (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  11. Love it! Review by Eneb

The only thing this little guy lacks is a bit of speed. Great tool! (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  12. Best Pocket Impact Drivers Review by Fras

As soon as I found out Bosch was upgrading their 10.8 volt pocket impact driver I already had plans on purchasing it.

I work in industrial and commercial settings which are very demanding on tools. Heavy torque loads, long hours, and dirty environments, the older impact model never skipped a beat. I could manage most tasks with the impact driver in my pouch until it was absolutely necessary to pull out an 18 volt, or run a corded tool.

The PS41-2A is a great improvement on an already great tool. Brighter LED lights, a built in battery meter, a longer running battery, more torque, more speed, all inside an even smaller casing to get in those tight spaces. In my opinion, anyone that does a lot of fastening should own one of these, it's a staple in my tool pouch. (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  13. This is a light weight driver that gets the job done. Review by Builder

The PS-41A Driver really gets the job done. It is light weight and strong, plus the battery life is amazing. The PS-41A fits in most tool boxes, so it eliminates the need for a special carrying case. A very fine tool. (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  14. Vast improvement over the PS40 Review by Gum11

I purchased the PS41 because I was not too impressed with the performance of the previous model (PS40). What a major improvement in speed and torque! I bought another to have on hand for helpers. The higher speed and torque bring the PS41 up to par with many 18v impact drivers, but at half the size and weight. I now usually reach for the PS40 before my 18v Bosch Impact.

Last week, a friend of mine helped me build my 12x24 deck and we used the PS40's. We installed 53 top boards (2x6 pressure treated) at 12 screws each (2-3/8 Camo fastener screws driven diagonally with a Camo jig). Thats about 636 deck screws with one battery change each. The batteries we used were my old ones which I've been using since 2008.

The PS40 is the perfect workshop impact driver, which can also handle light construction. (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  15. Amazing power for its size! Review by RoyB

Just purchased this little jewel last weekend. I needed to be able to drive 3" inch screws in some rather cramped quarters. This amazing driver hammered them home faster than my 1/2" drill/driver. It has enough power to snap a 1/4" lag screw and did. Wish I had purchased one of these years ago! (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  16. Incredible power! Review by indianajonesy

This thing is an amazing addition to my toolbox. The first time I used this, I was getting laughed at for pulling it out to drive some 4" screws into a triple 2x beam. 5 minutes later this was the most desirable tool on the site! The only thing that slows it down is broken bits, but you can't blame that on the tool! I'd love to see Bosch come out with their own line of impact-ready bits to compliment this but apart from that you can't go wrong. It's small enough to carry in a nail bag too which means it's there when you need it. (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  17. Tons of Torque, Small Package Review by Handydad

This is one of the lightest yet most powerful impact drivers you will find. Fits into tight spots where the LED light really comes in handy. The battery level indicator is really nace as well. (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  18. Excellent value comfortable grip Review by mediabuff

This lightweight driver is a powerhouse that drives everything a homeowner could want. Variable speed range and easy to change batteries in case you need more time to get the job done. I lent it to a siding repair person when his commercial model died and he was truly impresssed at its power and light weight. (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  19. Excellent product Review by gelowvoltage

Long lasting battery. Easy to use. Sesative trigger control. Good value. (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  20. Great product But? Review by bighands

Ok I have had it a week now. I'am a electrician by day and so far it's very good for what I do I have been using a ps20 for two yrs now still going (same batts). This ps41 works great on divices, fixtures, etc. I did put to the test this weekend in my shed on some shelves with 3" screws did pretty good broke a P2+R2 bit drivimg in the screws. Only thing that needs to be ajusted is the trigger, need light before motor right now they both work at the same time kinda hard to get the bit in place whlie its turning with the light on, and a 1.5ah batt. would be nice for a little more run time, leds could be a little brighter. (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  21. compact, focused, powerful Review by t3chiman

Lots of impact drivers out there; each big box store has half a dozen models at 2 or three voltage levels. But the Bosch 12V PS41 won me over. Firstly, it's an honest compromise: it's not an 18V powerhouse, it can't drive 6-inch lag screws into fence posts all morning. But for work on cabinets, general carpentry, small machinery, etc., it's fine. And that's 95% of an impact driver's task profile [For me, it's 100%.]. Secondly, it's nicely engineered. It has a nice feel, a good-size grip with a bit of stickyness to it, and a decent trigger. It feels good in the hand, and does not fight you as you position it for action.
It's not perfect. I find that my most natural grip often inadvertently moves the forward/reverse switch a bit. And it's easy to go from barely moving to full overdrive on the trigger action. But overall, it is a very handy powertool that pretty much kills the old "drill/driver" combo tool. Use a drill to put holes in things; use this to deal with fasteners. (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  22. Great Driver! Review by Austmeister

I'm an autotech & I use this driver everyday. The battery last a long time & when it runs out, I grab the second battery off the charger. The driver is small enough to operate in small spaces & powerful enough to loosen/fasten bolts. I've been using this driver for about six months now & haven't noticed any fatigue. Would highly recommend. (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  23. Lightweight and dependable Review by Garagerat

It is a great tool. Lightweight, but powerful. I also have a ps31 so it nice to have 2 tools that use th same battery. (Posted on 9/26/2013)

I have had my hands on many, MANY cordless drill/driver and impact drivers in my day. The Bosch 12V cordless impact driver is the most incredible cordless drill I have ever had the pleasure to use and own!
NOT ONLY is it super light, which is great for overhead and repeated use, but it is the most versatile of all the drills.
When I bought the PS41-2A around Christmas of last year, I was already certain I was going to be buying a Bosch, because of their phenomenal reviews I read online. After purchasing this tool, I will never buy another brand!
I knew I wanted an impact driver for heavy duty work. What I discovered, is that this bad little doggy can be dialed back with an easily developed light touch, to tackle some delicate stuff, too!
My only concern when buying was that it might be a little specific in its' scope of use; but with the purchase of an adapter chuck that allowed me to use up to 3/8" drill bits, and a power clutch adapter, which I use in conjunction with a drywall dimpler bit, this drill is the only power tool I use or need!
This is truly a phenomenal product that I could gush over for days on end!
I even got many of my friends and family members to convert from another name-brand company to Bosch because of this little gem!
THANK YOU for designing and creating such an incredible product! You have a fan and customer for life!!! (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  25. great for tight spaces Review by joem

i have this tool and all i can say it is great for tight spaces will not replace your larger tools but can be a job saver when you have to get into a tight area (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  26. Compact, Lightweight, Powerful Review by Carpenter1006

This impact driver is great. I had a remodel job recently and was installing metal shelving that used narrow plastic drawers to store different bolts & fasteners at a retail store. To install them I had to use self-drilling sheet metal screws that had to be placed in the back of the shelves. The small size of the impact driver made it easy to drive in the screws where most other drills would not even fit. The impact driver drove the wafer head screws with ease. (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  27. Worth every cent paid for it. Review by VaDecker

Has paid for itself several times over. When a bolt/nut/screw just does not want to come out - this driver will make it comply. Compact - yet powerful. I love its compactness and compatibility with my other Bosch 12 volt tools. Placement of the LED lights (3) are perfect. (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  28. Great Tool for Anyone Review by Bobcat

My only complaint is the trigger. When you first pull it there is a slight hesitation before it reacts. Under most circumstances this is not a problem, but I am a mechanic and when trying to break loose a stuck bolt, the quicker it turns on, the more effective the torque is. Besides this I love the impact. It is the perfect size for fitting in hard to reach spaces. The impact allows you to take flat blade, Phillips, Allen, and other fasteners loose that a normal screwdriver or wrench may round off. I wish the batteries would last a little longer, but for the size of the batteries, I would have expected a shorter run time. I would recommend this impact to anyone. (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  29. Where have you been all my life... Review by Stick

powerful with great run time.. absolutely nothing negative to say about this tool.. (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  30. Good product Review by GoBosch

It has driven everything I've thrown at it so far. The only problem is motor tends to overheat after a while so it stops driving until it cools down. (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  31. Very capable Review by bfinstrom

I have used this for work on projects requiring me to tighten or loosen up to 3/8 inch bolts that are torqued down with vibration resistant fasteners and also just built a deck where I used it for everything from driving deck screws to installing 5/16" lag screws. It has easily handled everything I have tried thus far and I am very pleased. (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  32. Best-in-class Review by eolmstead

I, like many others, own several impact drivers. I have several that are of the 18v variety, and they are unstoppable. This one, for being so compact and running off of only 12v, has plenty of power to get the job done. I have tried a couple other brands in the same size class, and this one beats them all. The weight is perfect, balance is excellent, ergonomics are perfect for my hands, and the battery charge longevity is outstanding. Again, this review is based on our current technological level, and as such I know future versions will even perform better as time progresses and refinements are made, hence the 4 stars. It packs a lot of punch, and more than the competition, but it is still somewhat lacking. All in all, I love this little impactor and it goes with me everywhere I go in its neat little carry case that wastes no room. (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  33. Great tool to have around Review by Ryan

This compact impact driver is a great little tool to have around the garage. It has tackled almost everything I have thrown at it. The compact size allows you to get into those tight spots with ease. It's light weight body and battery won't tire out your arms when working overhead and its the perfect size for kids when they want to help.

My only complaint is the lack of some sort of belt clip, hanger or holster. Its a little too big to fit in my pocket, so when I am working overhead, I need someone to hand me the tool or fumble around holding it up.

The two batteries hold a charge for a long time, and they charge pretty quick. If you are doing a lot of light to medium duty fastening, these batteries will handle the task with ease. (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  34. power in a small package Review by Walt

I've had the 10 V version of this tool for 2 years now, and it is one of my favorite tools. I've had 2 other impact drivers (brand names not mentioned) but Bosch is by far my goto tool. Why? Because it has the power to drive screws without stripping them out, the batteries last pretty well, and they charge quickly. Probably more than anything I like the size of the tool. Light weight, and fits in small places. I know that when I can no longer find the 10 V batteries, I will buy the 12V version. (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  35. Better than air Review by farmertim

I have used this driver over a year now. It has work better than my air drivers , much lighter, the clutch has made it a winner in my book. Getting ready to get a 18 volt. No more air for me! (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  36. Best little Impact driver I have used Review by crandreww

My electrician friend was helping me with a project, when he used his Bosch PS 41 Impact driver..I used it and was so surprised at its power...durability. I had to get one myself...had it for 2 years now, and am so happy to not lug out my 18v for most projects....Highly recommend! (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  37. So good I don't use my 18volt model any more Review by Electrician

I bought this tool in the combo kit with the PS-21. I do use the PS-21 more often, but when I need to drive long screws or into tough material I use the PS-41 because the impact function takes all the torque off of me and keeps the bit in the screw head so that they don't strip out.
I also use it alot with sockets when putting together or taking apart equipment.
For the jobs I do it has the power needed so I don't use my yellow 18volt impact driver any more. The Bosch fits in my tool belt and the 18volt does not.
The built in fuel gauge is nice, should be on all tools (or the batteries#
The light ring is great #wish the PS-21 had it) (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  38. GREAT TOOL Review by Tigerjim

This is the most used tool in my workshop. I recently used it to install >1500 sq. Ft. of Trex decking. The driver sank the 2.5" screws with ease. I'd recommend it to anybody. (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  39. Great Power For The Size Review by JLamb

I bought this in the combo kit with the driver. I use it constantly at work for removing fasteners. It does struggle with some of the 8mm and 10mm bolts but I have air tools for the bigger stuff. It works great and has decent power. My only con is the impact noise in certain situations, but all electric impacts are like that. (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  40. Great for screw driving. Review by Teamswiger

This was an impulse Christmas Eve purchase. Wish we had bought it years earlier. this has saved my hands and time. Given slight arthritis in my right hand, this tool has made many nights more comfortable> (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  41. Great drill Review by Boss19

I am in the HVAC business and this little drill drives screws into furnace's and duct work with ease. It fits in places you can't get a big old 18 volt into.
It is so lite that you can work over head without straining your back or shoulders. It drives screws thru metel, wood, composite decking with no effort. This drill goes on every job with me. When this one goes out I will buy another one. (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  42. strong Review by AytacDEDE

i bought this tool and i advice they are light and strong tools.
it has really effiently tork i am using it for motobike wheel screws it is perfect (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  43. Really impressed Review by Dennyhartle

I've been using my PS41-2A for a couple of years now and I am really impressed with the power this small driver has. The use I get between charges is astounding. A co-worker of mine liked it so much he went out and bought one of his own. Good work Bosch, keep the the ideas rolling, I think your tools are great. (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  44. Great Gun Review by rayray

This is a great gun to have on hand. I use this driver everyday from building cabinets at work to letting my wife use it at home to hang pictures. (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  45. this product has great features Review by dnns

Reasonably powerful. Would be nicer if it came with the somewhat higher capacity batteries. It's still a nice tool though. Comfortable to use.

I don't much like the soft-side case. It's got elastic straps in it that don't quite fit the tool, battery, and charger. I find it easier to just ignore them, as they're a little too fussy to deal with. Hard case would have been better, I think. Or maybe something that was more of a catch-all soft case. Pockets for bits and such. As it is, it's just a 'box' without much organization. (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  46. Best tool in the box! Review by braidinc

This is the most versatile tool I now own. It fits into tight spots, is incredibly powerful, lights the way, and the charge really lasts. Thank you Bosch, Steve. (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  47. Awesome addition to any tool kit Review by mikeydv

I used this impact to build a 16X30 deck at my house. I used all hidden fastners for the deck planks so the amount of fastening was essentially doubled. It never skipped a beat or couldnt drive in a screw. Money well spent. I have used other brands as well, this one is light, powerful, durable, you name it. Very happy with this purchase. (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  48. 10 Times Better than DeWalt Review by Steven

I have always used DeWalt tools, I have been in construction for over 20 years. When a little 12 volt system has 4 inch lbs less than my 18 volt DeWalt hammerdrill. WOW! I was amazed. This is easy to handle and get's into spaces that I could only hope to get into with my DeWalt. I love this little impact driver with HUGE power. Keep it up Bosch, you have my business for now on! (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  49. Big Power, Small Package! Review by Daveg6

I use this impact driver in a woodworking shop. It's greatest feature is the variable speed which allows me to drive any size fastener without stripping or fear of splitting wood. The compact size and light weight are terrific. I have small hands and it fits me perfectly. The LED light at the front is superb for dimly lit places. It holds a charge for a long time. I find myself grabbing this instead of the 18 volt impact I also have for 95% of the tasks I have. There are no negatives to this product. I use it quite often with the PS-10-2A Maxi i-driver to form a potent 1-2 punch for drilling and driving. Highly Recommended!! (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  50. This is a powerfull tool for it's size Review by Sweepinbob

I own two of these , 1 for home and 1 for work,at 70 years young, I appreciate a lightweigt tool. Working high in the air shingling an old shoe factory, this tool makes it easy for me to place screws in my straightedge and remove them. (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  51. Great performer Review by DAP

I use this constantly. It's compact, but very powerful when you need it to be. Love the light. It fits into tight spots well. Also, great if you have small hands. Just great! (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  52. Very good quality Review by Butch

I replaced a Craftsman with this impact driver. It is heads above the Craftsman, both in power and quality. Good feel in the hands and does not tire my hand out like others. I will go with Bosch now on instead of Craftsman. (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  53. Unbelieveable Review by Stephen

I've always heard my buddies talk about how great Bosch tools are, but I was never completely sold on what they were saying. I was in Lowes last week and ran across a display of the CLPK 22-120 on sale for a decent price and I thought what the heck, I'm needing a new drill anyway, (all my yellow tools seem to run through the batteries, and getting quite sick of the price for replacements). I got home and like a married man does, ran straight to the shop with my new Bosch, plugged up the charger slapped a battery in and got in the house quick to avoid any interrogation by my better half. That same night I went back in the shop got my PS41 out and had to give it a try. I have never experienced a hand full of power in any power tool espicially for the size! I ran a few screws through some 3/4 " plywood several more through a 4x4 post and tried to wear the battery down just to see how long I could depend on it. I finally went to my last straw that always wears the batteries out, metal yep took about two dozen self tapping screws 1/4" and drove them into a 1 1/2 piece of galvanized steel and it was like the thing just come off the charger. The battery indicator had only dropped 1 bar. I wore out before the battery, I couldn't believe before, but I do now, and kick myself for not buying a Bosch sooner. UNBELIEVABLE!!! (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  54. Mini Powerhouse Review by ChrisK

In New England we use the term "Wicked Pissuh" This impact gun is Wicked Pissuh! I love it. Incredible power, super compact, fuel gauge, three LED's. Nothing wrong with this tool. Period. Battery last a long time, 30 minute recharge, light and compact, easy to use. I pull the adjustable trigger with my middle finger and use my index finger as a guide for the tool. Better than the Milwaukee M12 and the Dewalt 12v Max. I love this tool! (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  55. Amazing torque Review by James

I bought this tool from Lowe's for $139.00. Wow, what torque..I got this to replace my 1/4" air ratchet for fasteners around automotive vehicles. It beat other snap on cordless in the shop hands down at 2 1/4 the cost. Great warranty!!! " (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  56. Defective trigger switches Review by rick

I am a a/c tech now for 3 years and use this tool 10 hours a day 6 days a week. I have owned 2 Bosch PS20 cordless drills. and both trigger switches failed within 1 year but Lowes would take them back. I decided after the 3rd time I would upgrade to the impact PS41. This switch failed also in 6 months but, Bosch warranty fixed for free. I only use the drill for taking off sheet metal panels and do not feel this should tear up a drill. I bought a 4th Bosch impact as a back up. I have a collection of 8 batteries accumilated for all of the drill purchases which is great but, the 3 year warranty is a must and will hopefully cover any more failures. (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  57. Powerful Impact Driver for its Size! Review by Birch

The small size and weight of this Impact Driver is great . Just fastened the T1-11 siding on my backyard shed with it without a hitch. For such a small battery, the working time is very good.. Batteries snap into the driver and give positive contact lock. Battery life feature is a positive and shows condition when trigger is pulled. Charging time is very short. Bits change easily and the lighted LED ring gives good spot light. (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  58. After years of Procrastinating I finally bought it Review by Ductedfan

I love this little driver. After 40+ years of any corded and cordless drills I finally purchased the impact driver because of its small size and brand rep. A buddy picked up a Craftsman similar to this one, but he complained about this and that. Made me not want to go this route even more, but seeing this one on sale I pulled the trigger, so to speak. Have used it for about 2mths now, and love it. Handy, light weight, great battery life, quick charging, durable (so far), and looks cool too. The only feature I wish it had was a place to store a spare bit, it comes with both Phillips and Straight Slot bits, but you have to keep the unused one in a pocket or laying somewhere. Would be handy to have a simple storage slot/clip. (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  60. Great Little Tool Review by Walt454

Had the tool for 3 months now, use it all the time. Fits in my nail apron which is handy on a ladder. Lots of power in a small package. Don't have to lean on it to drive a screw. Batteries charge quickly. Not wild about the zippered case, but it serves it purpose. (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  61. all around fine tool! Review by mustang

this tool is so powerful it makes sinking 3-1/2"deck screws into pressure treated 2x4's a breeze. knowing when the battery needs to be recharged before its too late is also a great feature. where has this tool been all my life?! I love it! (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  62. More then satisfied !!!! Review by KenM

I have more then one high end, impact driver; yet, I have already switched to my new Bosch because of it's comparatively small size & power ... I have completed a number of projects since purchasing this tool and have yet to have the battery require recharging in mid-project ... After all my prior to purchase research I am very pleased that I purchased my Bosch Combo Pack ... (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  63. Awesome little driver. Review by Tango69

This one is going strong. It will do anything i try, I drive 3" screws into pine like nothing, drills nice on the high (2) speed too, I have not touched any of my corded drills since i got this! it looks and feels great. I tried to "save $$$" with those 4v and 3.5 v drivers but the power and quality difference is huge. clutch is nice for repetitive work, no clutch will show the true power of this thing. Love it! 64. Great power Review by LarryU

I have used this impact driver on a volunteer project and driven many lag bolts with ease. (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  65. Decent Tool Review by RobAmbrosius

I work as an HVAC contractor and I use this drill everyday.  It is a great tool with decent power for a 12V impact.  The only problem I have with it is there is sometimes a delay between when you squeeze the trigger and when the drill actually starts turning.  It has happened to me on both of these that i've owned.
