  1. Great little driver Review by WindyCityKayaker

I own three Bosch 12V drills/drivers- the PS20, PS21, and PS31 -and this one is my favorite. It's incredibly light and has more torque and rpms than the PS20. And the quick-release chuck is more convenient to use than the keyless chuck on the PS31. My only gripe concerns the amount of play a hex bit has in the chuck, which I think is a little excessive. (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  2. Compact Power Review by njdevils

I am amazed how small and compact the PS21-2A is. To my surprise the 12V has enough power for most jobs. I use the driver around the house and auto repair. (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  3. Excellent Drill/Driver Review by Anothertool

Amazing power for such a compact light weight tool. Well balanced and I like the built in light.

The only disappointment was the carrying case. Would have expected a nice hard sided case versus a canvas case given the quality of the tool. (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  4. This is the most versatile driver I own! Review by mikeg

The driver has the right power, and balance for every day home improvement projects, and home repair. I also use this driver , along with the I driver, when cabinet making. It is comfortable in my hand, and light enough to carry in my back pocket when moving around.

A great tool! (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  5. Carry it in my truck & everywhere I go Review by marf3000

It's reliable, it's strong, it lasts. I can't ask for much more. (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  6. Great for punch list and DIY Review by indianajonesy

This is a great tool too have around. I honestly can say that the only thing preventing me from using it more, especially on small jobs and punch list items is the lack of 1/4" hex drill bits. It's a great driver but apart from delicate trimming, I use the PS41 Impact Driver for that so it doesn't see as much use as it deserves. However, it's incredibly small and the few bits I do have, while cheap, have made for a great setup for cabinet work. Using both drivers together to drill and drive speeds up production and the compact size makes them way easier to get in position than my 18v ones. If there was more support on the drill bit end on Bosch's or another pro-grade manufacturer's part this thing would find itself used far more often. My only real complaint is the light is not nearly as nice as the one on the Impactor but I think this is because of the clutch and that's a worthwhile tradeoff IMO. (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  7. Good grip, lightweight and powerful Review by mediabuff

This lightweight driver is a powerhouse that drives everything a homeowner could want. Variable speed range and easy to change batteries in case you need more time to get the job done. I lent it to a siding repair person when his commercial model died and he was truly impresssed at its power and light weight. (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  8. great driver Review by bigvincec

extremely powerful and durable. Very high quality product (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  9. Great improvment over the ps20 Review by bighands

I have had my 20 for three yrs now still going strong same batterys too.
I recently purchased the combo set ps21-ps41. The 21 has been greatly improved on, better torque and two speeds which allow for drilling, more clutch settings.

Cons: only thing I can say is the light on my 20 comes on before the bit turns these new ones don't :( need more flashlight in trigger before bit starts.. and step up the battery to the new 1.5ah they should have come with those standerd.

Other than that great product keep'em coming bosch. (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  10. Very pleased. Review by Billy

I have had this driver for almost a year now and I am very pleased with it's performance. I love the small size, lots of power and lots of work time before the quick recharge. I was using it to put on a steel roof recently and could screw more than 100 2 1/2" screws before I needed to charge the battery.
I have another name brand 12V drill and it is big and clunky compared to the Bosh. It is a nicad though. The drill works great but I need to replace the batteries which is close to the cost of a new drill.
Rather than do this I plan to purchase the Bosch PS31-2A drill. (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  11. Daily use in a mechanic shop Review by skng0369

I use this daily in a GM dealership. Sometimes abusing it and it holds up very well. Have had it for 1 1/2 years now. I like the varible clutch that I can turn down for smaller screws or turn up for the heavier stuff. Occasionaly I have a problem with the light staying on in which case I unplug the battery and reinsert it. It took me awhile to get use to the slow trigger, when I first push the trigger it takes about 1/2 a second for it to start turning, but I suspect it has to do with the circutry checking the battery voltage. (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  12. great features Review by lungton

    Very lightweight,But it is powerful.
adjustable clutch, rubberized grip and built-in work light. (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  13. A terrific tool but definitely a high price compared to other similar tools Review by number13

This tool does everything as advertised and more. Lightweight, efficient and effective. I do love the tool, but Bosch tools are on the high end for 'price-value'. Many competitive tools are equal to, or better, at lower cost of acquisition. (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  14. It does everything I want in a compact package! Review by CynVT

It is great for my little hands & has lots of power. The quick charge feature makes it even better! (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  15. THE ONLY TOOL MY HVAC SERVICE TRUCK NEEDS Review by 1COOLKRIS10

I have a hvac business and these 12 volt pocket drivers are fantastic
i use it almost every day with a magnetic nut setter either 1/4" or 5/16"
it goes through my sheet metal like butter the batteries last and last
i have a old bosch corded 1/2" drill it never leaves the shop all i need is my pocket driver tools i could not be more happy with the bosch PS21-2A DRIVER (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  16. Has all the features needed in a drill/driver. Review by CRToolGuy

This is the most versatile drill I have ever owned. It is small and light weight and very easy to use. The quality and performance of this product influenced my decision to also purchase the impact driver and larger drill combo. Excellent products! (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  17. GREAT LITTLE DRIVER Review by BamaBob

This is one great little driver - lightweight and small, but very powerful. I use it on an almost daily basis. Whenever I have a need for a cordless driver, I grab the Bosch instead of the bigger drivers. It fits into tight spaces and makes short work of the job. Very dependable and the charge lasts for a long time. Highly recommend! (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  18. PS21-2A Review by BaldEagle5556

Light weight but powerful. Easy to handle and is my go to drill/driver. Had to get hexhead drill bits which was a pain but worth it. (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  19. The RPM cant be beat Review by Tosh

I had the opportunity to use this tool while on a job with a co worker. My cordless screw driver went dead. I borrowed his Bosh. The first major noticeable difference I saw was the speed. This tool had enough RPM to be used as a drill, which mine, from another vender could not. This alone with the fact there is no compromise in weight or power, makes me eager for the day my driver burns out so I can replace it with this Bosch. (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  20. A great handy tool! Review by Grmpfrog

I've had this tool for 6 months & it has saved my bacon many times in getting old rusted screws & bolts loose. Also good at screwing into hardwood & knots-saves a lot of pre-drilling. (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  21. disappointed Review by Paul

I bought the 12 volt PS21-2A since I heard all the hype about the lithium batteries. My 10 year old Makita 12 volt with nickel cadium batteries make the PS21-2A a whimp in both power and lasting between charges. I would not reccommed this drill to anyone. (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  22. Excellent product - Very durable and powerful for its size Review by deerhunterus39

I work in heating and air conditioning field, and drive a lot of screws in tight places. This little drill has great power and stamina for its size. The cost for the voltage had me concerned but after using it on the job for a while no regrets at all. Small package but big results. Batteries charge quickly but also last a long time. Great product (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  23. WOW!!! Review by Stick

the weight to power ratio is outstanding. as an assembly/dis-assembly tool there's no competition. This little guy can give it's bigger kin a run for their money... gives a lot... asks for nothing... (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  24. Good Tool Review by GoBosch

Nice and compact driver with gobs of torque. Unfortunately, the adjustable clutch sometimes gets stuck and there is not battery charge indicator (Posted on 9/26/2013)

THE BEST TOOL EVER, LIGHT,FAST, WORKS EVERYTIME ! (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  26. Outstanding Review by DnTwnBro

Bosch did an awesome job when they built this one. I have only had my driver for about a week but have used it a lot with wood drilling, wood screws in addition to metal nuts and bolts. I used to use my big 1/2 inch drill for those kind of jobs but not anymore. My little driver has the power, adjustments and speed I need all packed in a much lighter and smaller unit. I can not think of anything that could be lacking!
I would not hesitate to recommend one to any of my family or friends~!

  27. Most used tool in the bag Review by Bob A.

When I am packing my tools to go on a job the two things I always make sure I have are my Klein screwdrivers and the PS21 drill. The torque is great, the two-speed clutch is handy and the batteries last for a long time. I have drilled 1-inch holes through 2x10 joists and this drill powered through a bunch of them before the battery got tired. One thing I noticed is that the chuck tends to wobble slightly so I would not use the hex-head twist drill bits with this driver. However if you get a PS31 with a true drill chuck you can dual-wield them and drill with one hand and drive with the other, which makes the work much faster. I rarely have the need to get out the 18v drill anymore since my 12v tools pack so much punch and the jigsaw is next on my list. (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  28. Pocket Driver Review by Papa

I recently purchased a Bosch and was amazed by the power of this small driver. Very comfortable to use, fits my hand well. It drives large screws with out fail. The light helps when I am driving screws in a dark spot. Very happy with my purchase. (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  29. Great driver for any tool belt Review by Electrician

I bought the PS-21 and the PS-41 in a combo kit. Both are incredible little tools.
I use both of these with a PS-10 as an electrician every day. The PS-21 is overall my most used power tool each day. I use it to drill holes in wood studs if I just need a few instead of dragging out the 18v. Drive any and all screws, including self drilling screws into metal. As a screwdriver for anything. When power is off tool is locked so it can be manually used like a screwdriver. The light is good but the three ring light from the PS-41 impact driver is better.
Battery lasts very long time and only takes 30 min to recharge.
My only sugestion for improvement is to put the light ring and fuel gauge from the PS-41 on this tool. Then it would be perfect.
    Over all this tool is:
    Supper light weight
    Fits in hand great
Plenty power with two speed ranges. (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  30. SMALL and POWERFUL Review by Notrik

This driver is the Lightest in it class.
At the End of the Day your body will thank you.
I use driver for everything, but mostly to hang kitchen cabinets.
With two batteries and the QUICK CHARGE you will NEVER run out of power.
Simple yet power in a small package.
It fits in my hand like a glove.
comfort all the way. (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  31. I have owned this drill/driver for over a month and I am pleased to find it is exactly what I expected it to be! Review by Dr. Bill

I use it on a daily basis -- it is light-weight and powerful. The bits can be quickly changed - the positioning of the light beam is great -- it holds a charge for a long, long time. It "fits perfectly in my hand". I love it and recommend it. (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  32. I rarely use the full size cordless..... Review by State Employee

The PS21 is great for small and big jobs. (30 min. charger) Co-workers even borrow my drill because of size and power... Great Tool.... (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  33. Great For A Too Bag Review by JWCC

This one is a bit more versatile than the PS20. Great little tool to have with the right bits for mounting everything from shelving to picture frames to blinds. Works great with self tapping sheet metal screws especially when an impact driver would be too powerful. (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  34. I love this tool! Review by Dean B

I bought this driver/drill for a specific project for which I needed a compact driver/drill and it has become my favorite tool. I truly enjoy using it - I love the compact size and light weight and appreciate its durability. (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  35. Handy, compact driver Review by Ckane

I have owned this driver for over a year now. It replaces my standard cordless driver weighing twice as much and twice as big. Don't let it's size fool you. This thing packs some muscle. Very well made, doesn't feel cheap. Dropped it more times I care to admit and still works like new. The only reason why I didn't give it 5-stars is that the driver doesn't start until the trigger is pulled half way. Only the light comes on during that time. Just a personal preference I found a little "irk-some". (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  36. Awesome compact drill driver Review by ChrisK

This tool is essentially the same as my PS 31 without a keyless chuck. Instead to are given a compact drill with hex chuck. This is a great feature that cannot be overlooked. I own both this and the PS31 as they compliment eachother very will. Plenty of power, 2 speeds, bright lLED light that is easily seen because of the lack of a chuck. Only problem with this tool is no fuel gauge. Not sure why this is so, but I love this little gun! (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  37. Awesome tool Review by Claudio

Excellent cordless driver: compact yet robust, nice grip, nice torque. The variable speed depending on the trigger pressure is very useful. The Li-ion type of battery is a must. (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  38. what a powerhouse! Review by Eric Harrington

this little guy has amazing torque and is lightweight enough to use all day long without getting tired!. highly recommend this! (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  39. Great product Review by rcharlier

Great product. Oddly, the biggest selling feature to me was the compact size, so the tool could easily fit with the rest of my work gear.

Very powerful, easy to use for long periods of time. (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  40. powerfull for it's size Review by juan1952

Having small hands I was extremely happy to find a driver this powerfill, but still small enough that I could control it easily. The extra battery that came with it was a bonus as I have never run out of power. (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  41. Big performance, little package. Review by olesawdust

The driver performs as advertised and then some. Most compact units do not have the features of this one. The multiple clutch settings and two speed capability really make it versatile. It's 12 volt power had me a little skeptical until I used it, the power is more than adequate. The batteries charge quickly and with 2 you never run out of power. Using the high speed and the drill setting on the clutch works well without bogging down. Using the low speed and the proper clutch setting will drive screws from 1/2" to 3" with no problem.

You have to be aware that not setting the clutch (leaving it in drill mode) you'll drive the screws through soft wood like pine. (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  42. Driver for office setting Review by Peter

I have used this driver now for a few months in an office setting. The light weight and small size make it perfect for making small modifications to desks. It is also quiet enough not to disturb sales folks on the phone. You would think with the light weight, small size, and quietness that it wouldn't be powerful but in reality it is quite powerful. It is able to drive lag screws, tighten bolts and generally an all around great tool. (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  43. Almost Got It Right Review by aliasbigdog

Great size! Great power! Great speed for drilling!
Bought one, exchanged it for another, also checked floor model: chuck locks in bits, but very loose!!! This is a "one handed" tool. But due to loose chuck, it took a bit more effort to put bit tip exactly where I needed. All three I tested, bits were loose, up and down play about 1/8" and side to side play on 3" phillips bit about 1/8" at tip. (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  44. wonderful compact drill Review by wyohawk

My major project with this drill so far was  running wires for my home theater system.   the small size of this unit was super handy in small spaces,  yet it was powerful enough to get through 4" of particle board in  no-time.   battery life is excellent and the fact that it comes with the charge and an extra battery is awesome.
my only wish was that it had a clip our something on the handle to hold a few extra bits for quicker  change-outs.   it also took me a while to get used to the quick lock design. (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  45. Awesome tool in shop Review by ChrisW

I bought this after trying a snap on driver in the garage. When in need of a driver, not wanting to use a co workers snap on driver, my grandfather lent me his Mac driver which was the most powerful one available at the time. It was better than the snap on. I ordered the ps20 and then when reading more about it I realized a new ps21 was out. With two batteries and a quick charger you can't go wrong. The case doesn't bother me. I've used it multiple times to remove skid plates, and a nice feature is being able to use it like a normal screwdriver as well to crack bolts and nuts before zipping them off. It has plenty of power, and most of the time you have to limit it down with the clutch. Charging is fast. I bought 1/4,3/8&1/2 adapters for it so I could use sockets with it as well. It's really been my go to when I don't need an impact gun. It handles everything I need it to. Anything else is an impact or wrench/ratchet. It's a great buy. Even one battery will be sufficient for you, they last quite a while. A few work days for me. If you're thinking about getting a quick release chuck for it, I wouldn't. The small footprint of the tool is what's attractive about it. I've been able to wiggle it into small spaces to remove intakes and such that with a ratchet would have taken a while. The light while it works isn't very useful, it would be more useful if it had a seperate thumb switch or something. It does light up well though.  (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  46. BEST TOOL I'VE EVER OWNED Review by ralph64

Fantastic tool. Helpful in so many ways. Speed control, size, power, grip, trigger are all excellent. Can't think of anything I would change. Comes with two batteries so when one drains, you have another to continue with the job while you recharge the
    first. (Posted on 9/26/2013)
