  1. Better than most! Review by Twinsen

For the price it certainly has a lot of features and durability.
    Lets start with the strengths:
-Table size is nice and large.
    -Jointing function works well.
    -Fence is solid.
    -Dust extraction is very decent.
-Plug in for shop vac on table
-Feather boards and guard is nice. (Do not have to unscrew guard all the way to release)

    Weaknesses:
-Plastic inserts will break over time when swapping out.
-Getting the base plate level with the table takes a long time
-Have heard that some tables come warped (mine was fine).
-Must remove router to switch out bits. (this is common with all but the more expensive tables and/or lifts)
-No quick removal of fence. Have to unscrew all the way :(
-The riser/pads that sit between the guards and fence on the screw or between the feather boards and screw always cause a balancing act so they line up right and don't fall out. (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  2. first router table Review by John

This is my first router table and I bought it because of the aluminum top, and its worth. I mounted a 2.25hp router to it and it rivals my shaper in my shop. It has a powerstrip mounted to the inside so you can plug in your shop vac to it. If you hook you vac up to it, when you turn the machine on, the vac fires up as well and catches majority of the shaving... really works well if you're doing this in a small garage. You are able to change bits when the router still mounted, contrairy to what other reviews might say. It took me a while to get used to the micro adjustment. I was used to using a porter cable set up, so it was entirely different, but I've come to like it. The only gripe I have is that I wish the slot for the fingerboard on the table was farther back, I can't fit a full 1x4 in there with the fingerboard attached. (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  3. Table is excellant quality Review by Claude Behrens

Product is well packaged with good instructions for assembly. My router was not on the list but found that it fit in a very usable place [router is a Ridgid R2910] .Found it to be as functional as it looked in ad. (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  4. table is not flat Review by Mike

I am pretty disappointed in this table. The fence is great, but the router mounting plate is very difficult to adjust and the table itself is about 1/16" warpage from front to back. (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  5. Not Good for Bosch Quality Review by Larry

I bought this router 5 years ago when Bosch had an aluminum type fence. I complained to Bosch Tools that the fence was warped. (It was extruded aluminum). Bosch sent me another aluminum fence which was good, but later I found that the aluminum top of the table started to have discolorations from corrosion in a few months. Aluminum corrodes easily if they are impurities in the castings. I don't know were the table was manufactured but it was poor quality. Also, I don't know why but I could never get the router to cut a straight groove. It was very jagged due to vibrations or movement. Don't know what the problem was because I had the router motor locked down tight. (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  6. STANDS UP TO MY DAILY USE Review by Dougsan

I bought my RA1181 more than a year ago. My intention was to build a router table but at the price of the RA1181 building became a non issue. I use this table every day and have yet to find any short comings. The router table is bolted to a workstation which includes my table saw, drill press and chop saw, all in a row, sharing the same extra long level "bench top" (10'). Set up was a snap. I've used the Bosch RA1181 with three different routers (all existing - Craftsman, Skil [mu favorite but only 1/4"] and a 28 year old Craftsman). The newer routers set up quite easily. The old Craftsman required a little imagination to make height adjustment adequate. I really feel like the RA1181 was one of the three best additions to my workshop ever - after my table saw and table saw miter gauge. (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  7. Nice router table but... Review by poweruser

For a bench top router table this is a great product. The table is flat and it is easy to set up and adjust. I had only one disappointment with this table: despite the numerous hole patterns in the supplied metal (aluminum) route plate it would not accept the older Dewalt router I wanted to use with it. I did not consider this a huge problem and the instruction manual referred to a blank metal router plate that could drill myself to mount this router. It even gave the part number. The problem is that it does not exist!!!! After searching in vain I finally called Bosch directly and was given a different part number for a plastic plate. WRONG. I selected this table specifically because it has a metal router mounting plate. I finally broke down and installed another router. Other than that is this is a great little router table. If you want a metal mounting insert and don't own a router that matches one of the pre-drill holes in the plate be prepared to get another one. -- The do say you can drill the pre-drilled plate with holes for your router, but with the number of predrilled holes in it, good luck finding a spot to drill your own!! 8. RA1181 Review by Jeff42nd

I bought this and I was very happy to get it. However, the instructions barely explained on how to put the table together. The hardest part was trying to figure out what top plate I needed to attach. I had to run to a local store that had this model on display to fugure it out. After getting it up and running I do not like how cheap and flimsy the fench is, there is way to much movement. I had to add some C clamps to stop the fench from moving.

After those 2 big issues I do like the table. But it is okay to use to learn the basic but it's a far cry for high end projects. (Posted on 9/26/2013)
