  1. The is an excellent tool Review by rcgillet

this is a versatile tool. I recently used it to cut screen door molding. Using it with a carpenter's square I was able to cut perfect 45 angles. The battery life for 12v is exceptional. I can get this tool out, do the job and put it away before my partner find his extension cord. I expect nothing but the best from Bosch and always get it. (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  2. Great tool Review by docle

Great tool for the home owner or the professional. (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  3. This product has very poor Battery Life and Connection Problems Review by MyWifesContractor

From day 1, this products battery life was very poor. Proper instructions and procedures were used during the charging process. The connection of the battery to the tool is very poor. Both batteries I have to hold and push into the tool so it will start. Just a poor design and fuctionality. Definitely go to the corded. (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  4. Very Useful Cordless Tool Review by Gum11

I bought this tool understanding that it is cordless, and does not have unlimited run time. I purchased the PS50 for unique tasks that other tools, such as larger cordless or corded saws/sanders, cannot perform. That said, battery life has been more than adequate for the tasks I have used it for. I once used it to trim asphalt shingles which my buddy had put down four shingles thick in some areas. (The shingles got stuck together from laying out in the sun and he was too lazy to pull them apart). It used up the blade, but it had plenty of power and run time to trim 24 feet of shingles. The tool did not bog down at all, and used one battery with power to spare..

I reach for this tool when I need to trim/notch etc. in tight spaces where a saw will not fit. The scraper attachments are very useful as well. If you understand that the tool will not run forever on one battery, you will not be disappointed. For large tile jobs where you will remove alot of grout, consider the corded model. But for quick cuts, or when no other tool will fit in the space you are working, this tool cannot be beat. With three or four batteries and a charger or two (I have about sixteen batteries and several chargers) battery life will never be an issue. (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  5. Great all around tool Review by Pop65

Purchased the PS last Christmas. I had used it mostly for sanding until I started a remodel one of our bathrooms. I have used it to sand drywall, scrape vinyl off the floor, cut pvc pipe for plumbing, cut drywall and cut wood from the old floor. I have used the PS50 more than any other single tool. Great tool. 6. Abysmal Battery Life Review by PJSLINY

Using scraper attachment, battery lasted about 5 minutes - nice power and performance but make sure you keep a few spare batteries on hand (if you can afford them!). Also had trouble with sanding attachment - velcro is not holding paper securely. (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  7. Poor battery Review by Kazman

I guess there is a bad connection because I constantly have to hold or push the battery to keep the tool running. (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  8. works well, needs cord adapter Review by Toolmac

The tool itself works well. Battery is the weak point if you use this tool on a daily basis. Corded version would be a better choice for me. It would be nice to have the option to have a corded adapter option for this tool. (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  9. Useful in places too small for other cutting tools. Review by Nozzlepop

I needed to cut 3/4" plywood vertically under the kick plate for a counter in order to replace the flooring without damaging the built-in counters. I was able to make the cut using the semi-circular, bi-metallic blade, which fit under the 3 1/2" opening. Not fast, but worked well. I have since found mutiple uses for it around the house, including cutting vinyl soffit to length. (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  10. Truly A Multi Tool Review by Hermando

This tool has done any and everything I have put it through for what it is designed and even more. The power and agility makes it a very useful tool for any craftsman. Although it is the cordless version and the battery life is the limitation compared to the corded version. I keep several batteries charged and rarely go through one or two for the task at hand. Its not a tool you run continuously for extended periods of time. The blades are a bit costly, but the seem to last if using the right blade for the job at hand. I would most definitely recommend this tool to any one and buy another. Although Bosch Support has been great whenever I have had troubles. (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  11. Durability Review by Wishicouldownthemall

This tool runs forever on the lithium battery. It is a workhorse.....saves me a lot of time cutting in difficult areas (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  12. Love the tool Hate the battery Review by Storm357

The battery has connection issues but I love this tool. I wish I had bought a corded version instead. Battery life is only about 1/2 an hour of hard work. This is a great finishing or detailing tool though. I do not regret this purchase. (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  13. great tool Review by dnrpp

I bought a Fein MultiMaster when they were the only ones making one (patent rights maybe). Since I do work away from home, I wanted an oscillating tool that was cordless. First I bought the Craftsman. Tool was OK but the batteries were terrible. Then I bought the Bosch and couldn't be happier.
I'm surprised by the power of the 12V battery. I use the flush cutter for undercutting door frames on flooring jobs. It may take two batteries to complete a room, but it sure beats dragging around a cord or finding a plug. (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  14. solid cordless Review by TheaterPete

I love my Max Multi-X. It has gotten me out of so many jams. I can't imagine dry walling with out it now. I think it got as much use as my cordless drill in my attic remodel. (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  15. Excellent tool aside from battery consumption. Review by GZ71

Operates comparable to the corded oscillating tools I've used. This is an excellent tool that only suffers from it's high battery consumption. I found that cutting wood with the 1-1/2" blade drains the battery in less than 15 minutes. Switching to a 3/4" blade over doubled the amount I could cut on a charge. Sanding works very well and does not draw near as much from the battery as cutting. The weight and grip on the tool make it very comfortable and easy to use. This is one very handy tool to have. (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  16. Great Tool Review by GoBosch

I love this thing! I have used it for cutting wood, metal, drywall, plastic, and more. (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  17. Cordless but not powerless Review by K9CHUCK

When I compare my Multi-X to a similar corded tool, I can affirm the fact that it is not powerless! Yes the battery will just quit - but that is the nature of the Lithium Ion battery. When a cord would get in the way or when a quick use is anticipated - this is the tool I grab. With the adaptors I can use most any attachment on the market. I just wish it had a tool less quick change feature like my corded tool but other than that - another great Bosch tool. (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  18. This product out preforms all other compeditors Review by Gregg

I own several different brands of this particular tool. Some were gifts others I have purchased. I keep coming back to the Bosch toll because it outlasts the other tools battery life. What I also like is the attachment tool that lets you use other brand attachments. Whenever I am on a job site and pull this tool out, my customers always inquire about the tool and I tell them that if they are to purchase one, that to be sure and purchase the Bosch brand. (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  19. Good performance, poor battery life. Review by Paul

Good tool for quick cuts or sanding but not for long use. If you have at least 4 spare batteries charged and ready then you're all right but they're expensive. (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  20. Great tool for easy access and minimal set-up Review by Oz

I replaced my spendy Fien Multitool with the Bosch PS50-2A. I don't miss having to set up cords. It is particularly good for overhead work as it is lighter weight and, again, no cord dangling and tangling. I have plenty of batteries from my other Bosch 12v tools so I don't have any issues in that regard. This is one of my favorites. (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  21. Overall it is a pretty useful tool, but it kills batteries. Review by Lee Saunders

I bought this tool a year ago. It has been very useful. I just wish I had bought the corded one. It uses battery life very fast and it seems to eat batteries. I have had three batteries die in the past year and batteries are not very affordable. (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  22. Great versatility! Review by Big Daddy Tom Cat

I recently needed to notch some nosing on the second floor off a ladder and the cordless feature was great. I didn't have to drag a cord up a ladder so I felt a lot safer. I also was impressed with how quick it cut the notch I needed. The batteries last just long enough, having the second one charged always helps. (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  23. This product is a tool box must have! Review by akemod

I've been using this product for about two years now, and I'm continually amazed by it's versatility on the jobsite. In remodeling projects, this tool has literally been used from the demo to the finishing phases of every project I've been on since purchasing it. Now that I've used it, I can't imagine not having one on the jobsite. Thanks for an awesome product. (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  24. Has been very good Review by John

This tool has been very good for almost 3 years but has just stripped out a nylon bushing in the angle drive gear box. I am waiting for a return on my part request via the 3 year warranty (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  25. Oscillating Perfection Review by DCooper

This Oscillating tool is amazing and meets all my expectations with flying colors.  I first encountered this while working at a friends house and soon after I had to have one for myself.  The tool is well built, sturdy, and pretty well balanced for when you can only manage one hand for control.  The battery charges very fast and lasts well as long as you aren't really straining the motor. I have used it for many projects and cutting wood, drywall and even pipe is amazingly easy.  This is the first Bosch tool I have owned and it has led me to many more pieces.  (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  26. Review by Gwen

I'm glad I bought this tool did me a favor in difficult to reach places. (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  27. PS50-2A Review by block37

I bought the PS50-2A and all of it's attachments about 2 years ago.  I am not a contractor, just a homeowner.  I have about 15 to 20 hrs. run time on the tool.  It has worked great for the jobs that I have used it on, that is until yesterday 7/21/13.  I was prepping my floor to put down tile.  While cutting the 3/16" underlayment the tool quit oscillating.  Upon evaluation it was found that the drive gear was broken.  This is a plastic removable gear inside the head. It appears that the gear is designed to fail.  Keep in mind my use time for tool has been a total of 15 - 20 hours.  To order this part you have to buy a whole repair kit from Bosch which is almost $50.  I like the usefulness of the tool, but the durability is very questionable.  I would not recommend this tool unless Bosch fixes this problem.  This gear should be made to last!  (Posted on 9/26/2013)

  28. Good, solid tool. Review by ArtNuvo

Bought it two months ago, using it quite a bit. So far, reliable and solid. (Posted on 9/26/2013)
